Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

Detection dimensions Quantitative elements Qualitative elements Detection methods
Data integrity Amount of redundant/missing data Data timeliness Computer automatic detection
Logical consistency Value range/topology rules Processing flow Template comparison + manual review
Spatial accuracy Coordinate error ≤19 tolerance Map consistency Layer overlay detection

Key technical points

Fault strike consistency detection requires that the deviation between the geometric trend and the attribute field dip be controlled within the 15° range. For example: when the fault line strikes N45°E, the dip attribute value should be between N30°E and N60°E.

Computer automatic detection is achieved through the spatial azimuth calculation algorithm, and manual detection needs to be verified with the geological compass measurement data.

Background of Standard Evolution

This standard inherits the ISO 19157:2013 data quality framework, and adds the following features for active fault data:

  • Fault-specific topological rules (Appendix A.7)
  • 17-digit ID coding verification mechanism (6-digit city code + 3-digit thematic code + 8-digit custom code)
  • Field sampling accuracy and spatial matching requirements for total station measurement data

Implementation Suggestions

  1. Establish a detection rule library: Develop an automated verification script based on Appendix A
  2. Phase-by-stage quality control: Embed detection nodes in each link of data collection, storage and update
  3. Use the spatial analysis module of the GIS platform for topological verification
  4. The detection report should include the 8 core contents specified in Clause 11.2
