Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, testing, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, etc. of insulating sleeves for live work in AC power systems. This standard is applicable to insulating sleeves that protect workers from electric shock when performing live work on electrical equipment with AC voltage 10kV and below (also applicable to DC electrical equipment of corresponding voltage levels).
