Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of 1000kV AC rod-shaped suspension composite insulators (hereinafter referred to as composite insulators), as well as the performance of umbrella materials and core rod accessories. This standard applies to suspension and tension composite insulators for 1000kyV AC overhead lines and substations. The ambient temperature of the installation location of composite insulators is generally between -40℃ ~ 40℃. This standard does not include requirements regarding the selection of composite insulators for specific operating conditions.
