Scope

This standard specifies the general principles, content, methods and criteria for testing the impact characteristic parameters of grounding devices in power plants, substations and transmission line towers in power systems. This standard is applicable to the condition assessment of already operating grounding devices and the acceptance testing of grounding devices for new power plants, substations and transmission line towers. The impact characteristic parameter testing of other grounding devices such as communication facilities and buildings can be carried out with reference to the relevant content.
