Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for use conditions, rated parameters, design and structure, and testing of indoor and outdoor gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear with a rated voltage of 72.5kV or above and a frequency of 50Hz. This standard applies to gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear that uses sulfur hexafluoride gas as the insulating medium instead of air at atmospheric pressure in whole or in part; complete sets of switchgear between open type and GIS can also refer to this standard. The GIS referred to in this standard is composed of a number of individual components that are directly connected to each other and can only operate in this way.
