Analysis of core determination methods

The standard adopts a dual-path degradation test:

  1. Thermal degradation path: 48 hours in pure water at 90℃
  2. Thermal oxidation degradation path: 48 hours in 6% H2O2 solution at 90℃

The resin stability is quantitatively evaluated by measuring the decrease rate of strong group exchange capacity before and after degradation (the calculation formula is shown in standard 9.2-9.4). Experiments show that the oxidation degradation decrease rate Ro can better reflect the performance attenuation in actual use.


Key instrument requirements

  • Constant temperature water bath shaker: temperature control accuracy 0.1℃, speed 100r/min
  • Polytetrafluoroethylene test bottle: 200mL×6 pieces, corrosion-resistant design
  • Centrifuge: 2000r/min speed, equipped with 50mL centrifuge tube

Implementation suggestions

Application case of thermal power plant

A 1000MW unit uses this standard to test D201 resin:

  • Thermal degradation reduction rate is 2.3% (lower than the industry average of 3.1%)
  • Oxidative degradation reduction rate is 5.8% (repeatability r=0.42)
  • Based on this, the regeneration cycle is extended by 15%

Operation Note: Resin transformation must be strictly carried out in accordance with GB/T 5476. Incomplete ROH type transformation will result in a test value deviation of >10%.
