Scope

This standard specifies test methods for the evaluation of appearance changes and determination of dimensional changes of fusible interlinings bonded to clothing fabrics after dry cleaning. This standard applies to all types of hot-melt adhesive interlinings based on cotton and chemical fiber pure and blended woven fabrics, knitted fabrics and non-woven fabrics. This standard specifies two dry cleaning methods. The small laboratory dry cleaning machine method can be used for routine testing, and the program-controlled fully automatic fully enclosed dry cleaning machine method can be used for arbitration testing.
