Introduction

Core changes in the standard revision

Revision dimensionsRequirements of the 2011 versionChanges in the 2024 versionTechnical impact
Quality indicators Assessment of 9 indicators including blackboard evenness Increased to 11 indicators, blackboard assessment deleted More emphasis on the objectivity of instrument detection
Yarn defect control Appearance quality is not specified Added 3 types of yarn defect limits (hollow core/poor coating/exposed core) Improve the wearability of elastic yarn
Testing methods Uniform sampling regulations Independent implementation of each method Enhance the coordination of standards

Analysis of key technical requirements

1. Yarn classification system

The standard clearly classifies yarns into three dimensions: production process (combed/combed), blending ratio (3%-20% spandex) and linear density. Marking example: JC/Pu93/7 13.0tex(44.4dtex) means combed cotton covered with 44.4 denier spandex, with a cotton-spandex mass ratio of 93:7.

2. Comparison of core quality indicators

Taking 13.1-16.0tex carded yarn as an example, the requirements for superior products are:

  • Linear density variation coefficient ≤2.0% (2011 version is 2.5%)
  • Single yarn breaking strength ≥14.0cN/tex (increased by 0.5cN/tex)
  • 15 yarn defects per 100,000 meters (new indicator)

Implementation suggestions

1. Key points of process control

The pre-draft ratio of spandex is recommended to be controlled at 3.5-4.0 times, and the coated cotton fiber needs to ensure class=instrument>twist coefficient is within the range of 360-400 to prevent the occurrence of hollow yarn defects (core yarn breakage) and exposed yarn defects (incomplete covering) defined in the standard.

2. Detection optimization plan

Recommended configuration: capacitive yarn evenness meter (GB/T 3292.1) + automatic yarn defect grader (FZ/T 01050). Note that the yarn tension should be selected according to the shaping situation (1.2±0.2) cN/tex or (0.5±0.1) cN/tex.

3. Quality traceability improvement

Establish a yarn defect atlas library, and archive images of poor covering points within a length of 3000m, which meets the judgment rule of ≤30cm/point required by Appendix B.
