Scope

This standard specifies two test methods for determining the atomization performance of textile materials used in automotive interiors, namely the reflection method and the gravimetric method. This standard applies to all types of automotive interior textile materials, including woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, nonwoven fabrics and coated fabrics, as well as composite fabrics. The test results obtained by the two test methods are not comparable.
