GA/T 2126-2023 standard, as an important part of the PDT digital trunking communication system, specifies the key interface technical requirements between the mobile switching center (MSC) and the base station (BS). Key Technical Requirements
4.1 System Control Method
The standard clearly supports two control modes: centralized and semi-distributed:
- Centralized: All control signaling is processed by the MSC, and the base station only forwards it
- Semi-distributed: Key control functions are delegated to the base station to reduce the load on the MSC
6.1 Call Control Interface Protocol
The improved pSIP protocol is adopted, and the following are added on the basis of the standard SIP protocol:
- Group call priority identification field
- Emergency call fast establishment mechanism
- PTT preemption conflict resolution algorithm

Taking Figure 37 in the standard as an example, the complete process includes:
- The calling base station initiates an INVITE request
- MSC locates group call members
- Target base station returns 200 OK response
- Media channel established (RTP/RTCP)
Typical delay requirement: ≤500ms (from PTT pressed to call establishment)

Equipment selection requirements
- MSC equipment should support 2000+ concurrent call processing capabilities
- Base stations need to be compatible with SNMPv3 protocol for parameter configuration
- Interface modules need to pass GA/T 1059 security certification
System deployment suggestions
- Semi-distributed architecture is recommended for large cities
- Base station heartbeat interval is set to 30 seconds (Standard Figure 3)
- Dynamic group data synchronization period does not exceed 5 minutes
