Introduction

Interpretation of the core content of the standard

GA/T 467-2019 is a recommended standard for the public security industry, replacing the 2013 version and adding a number of technical requirements:

Improvement dimensions2013 version2019 version
Nature of the standardMandatoryRecommended
Module classificationUndifferentiatedClearly define the three categories of SAM_A_I/II/III
Transmission rateUp to 300kbpsAdded support for 1Mbps
Security algorithmUnspecifiedIntegrated SM2/SM3/SM4 national secret algorithm

Key interface technical requirements

RF module interface

Three types of modules use different physical interfaces:

  • SAM_A_I: 34-pin IDC socket
  • SAM_A_II: 22-pin SATA connector
  • SAM_A_III: LGA28 package

Data transmission timing parameters are strictly specified, such as in serial transmission mode:

RateClock cycleSetup time
1Mbps0.45-0.55μs≥50ns
300kbps1.5-1.8μs≥50ns

Typical Application Cases

ID Card Verification Process

  1. Send 0x20 0x01 to find an ID card
  2. After receiving a 4-byte UID, send 0x20 0x02 to select a card
  3. Use the 0x30 series of commands to obtain text/photo/fingerprint information
  4. Use the SM3 algorithm to verify information integrity

New class=instrument>SAM_A_III supports identification code comparison function and can verify 20 sets of identity information at the same time.

Implementation suggestions

  • Consider the interface compatibility of the terminal device when selecting the module type
  • For high-frequency scenarios, it is recommended to use SAM_A_III that supports 1Mbps
  • SM2 digital signature verification should be enabled for security-sensitive applications
  • Pay attention to the RESET signal timing requirements (low level is maintained for 0.8-1ms)
