Scope

This standard specifies the steps and methods for testing diatoms in human tissues and organs using the nitric acid crushing method. This standard is applicable to the testing of diatoms in human tissues and organs by the forensic scientific testing departments of public security and procuratorate agencies at all levels, as well as medical schools and judicial appraisal institutions.
