1. Scope

This national standard is applicable to the older infants and young children formula.
2. Normative Reference

The application of the normative reference used in this national standard is absolutely necessarily. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. As for undated references, the latest edition (including all amendments) of the normative document referred to applies.

3. Terms and Definitions

3.1 older infants
It means 6 to 12-months-old baby.
3.2 young children
It means 12 to 36-months-old baby.
3.3 older infants and young children formula
The liquid or powdered product which is only produced in physical method by taking the milk and lactoprotein product and/or soybean and soybean protein product as the main raw material and adding vitamin, mineral substance and/or other auxiliary materials in appropriate amount. This product is applicable to the older infants and young children with table purpose, the nutrient contents may meet the partial nutritional needs for normal older infants and young children.
