《GB/T 10478-2006液化气体铁道罐车》由TC262（全国锅炉压力容器标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
该标准规定了液化气体铁道罐车的材料、设计、制造、涂装与标记、检验规则的要求；适用于设计压力大于等于0.1MPa、设计温度不高于50℃，装运介质为液化气体的钢制罐体标准轨距罐车。

Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the requirements for materials, design, manufacture, painting and marking, and inspection rules of liquefied gas railway tank cars (hereinafter referred to as tank cars). 1.2 This standard is applicable to standard-gauge steel tank cars with design pressure greater than or equal to 0.1Mpa, design temperature not higher than 50°C, and liquefied gas as the shipping medium. 1.3 This standard does not apply to the following tank vehicles: ——The tank body is made of non-ferrous metal or non-metallic materials; ——The tank body is of vacuum insulation structure; ——The tank body is used for national defense and military equipment with special requirements. 1.4 For tank cars that cannot be designed according to this standard, the following methods are allowed to be designed, but they need to be evaluated and approved by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Boilers and Pressure Vessels: —— Stress analysis including finite element method; —— Confirmatory test analysis ( Such as experimental stress analysis, confirmatory hydraulic test); ——Contrast empirical design with comparable structures that have been put into use.
