Background of Standard Revision and Technological Evolution
GB/T 11101-2020 is the third-generation national standard for cemented carbide round bar blanks, replacing the 2009 version of the standard. The main technological evolution is reflected in:
- Delete the relevant clauses for micro-drilling of printed circuit boards and focus on the field of general cutting tools
- Strengthen the physical and mechanical properties indicators, and clarify the requirements such as porosity ≤A02B00 and non-combined carbon C00
- Optimize the dimensional tolerance system, and refine the diameter deviation classification from 5 to 6

- Marking rules should be clearly defined during procurement (such as B3.5×38.5)
- Focus on monitoring the straightness index, and the tolerance of the 350mm length segment is adjusted from 0.8mm to 1.2mm
- It is recommended to increase the factory inspection of η phase content
