Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for star point, resolution, geometric aberration and wave aberration used to evaluate the image quality of an optical system. This standard applies to infinity imaging optical systems, far focus optical systems and finite distance imaging optical systems used in the visible spectrum region. It can be used as a reference for other optical systems applied in adjacent spectral regions.
