Scope
This standard specifies the method summary, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, samples, analysis steps, result calculation and method precision for the determination of silicon in uranium dioxide powder and pellets. This standard applies to the determination of silicon in uranium dioxide powder and pellets, and also applies to the determination of silicon in nuclear-grade U3O8. When the sampling volume of alkali fusion method is 0.5 g, the determination range is 10 μg/g~80 μg/g; when the sampling volume of acid dissolution method is 0.2 g, the determination range is 10 μg/g~300 μg/g. The allowable amount of main interfering elements in the sample: As is 30 μg/g, P is 250 μg/g.
