Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, delivery, transportation and storage of lifeboat diesel units (including diesel engines and gearboxes, hereinafter referred to as “diesel units”). This standard is applicable to various types of diesel generator sets for lifeboats, as well as diesel generator sets for workboats and rescue boats of corresponding power.
