Determination of isocyanate content in aromatic isocyanates used in the production of plastic polyurethane

GB/T 12009.4-2016 is the national standard of the People's Republic of China, which is used to determine the isocyanate content in aromatic isocyanates used in the production of plastic polyurethane. This standard replaces the old version from 1989 and introduces many technical improvements, including:

This standard provides two methods for determining isocyanate content:

  • The relative humidity in the laboratory should not exceed 60%.
  • Pay attention to the sealed storage and rapid sampling of samples to prevent reaction with moisture in the air.
  • The concentration and volume of hydrochloric acid must be accurately controlled during the titration.
