《GB/T 12501.2-1997电工电子设备按电击防护分类 第2部分:对电击防护要求的导则》由TC205（全国建筑物电气装置标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电器工业协会。
本标准规定了直接接触和间接接触电击防护的具体要求，适用于交流额定电压不超过1000 V，额定频率不超过1 000Hz的设备及直流额定电压不超过1500V的设备。然而，在制定专业标准时可以考虑把它应用于电压和频率更高的设备的可能性。注1 通常认为额定电压是设备的额定输入电压。对于特殊设备，如低压发电机，额定电压是指额定输出电压。2 GB/T12501的范围限于不大于交流660V，但具有应用于更高电压的可能性。3 应注意，GB/T12501不涉及直接接触防护。本标准的目的是当GB/T 12501所规定的防护要求适用于制定专业标准所涉及的设备时，向其提供实际执行GB/T 12501电击防护要求的导则。对于这些设备，各专业标准可规定更具体的或附加的要求。本标准应用了GB/T16499-1996《编制电气安全标准的导则》。注：因为本标准仅作为导则供制定专业标准时使用，所以制定产品安全标准时，仅抄录或引用本标准，一般还是不够的。

Scope

This standard specifies the specific requirements for direct contact and indirect contact electric shock protection, and is applicable to equipment with AC rated voltage not exceeding 1000V, rated frequency not exceeding 1000Hz and equipment with DC rated voltage not exceeding 1500V. However, the possibility of applying it to equipment with higher voltages and frequencies can be considered when developing professional standards. NOTE 1 Rated voltage is generally considered to be the rated input voltage of the equipment. For special equipment, such as low-voltage generators, the rated voltage refers to the rated output voltage. 2 The scope of GB/T 12501 is limited to not greater than AC 660V, but it has the possibility of being applied to higher voltages. 3 It should be noted that GB/T12501 does not involve protection against direct contact. The purpose of this standard is to provide guidelines for the actual implementation of the protection requirements in GB/T 12501 when the protection requirements specified in GB/T 12501 are applicable to the equipment involved in the formulation of professional standards. For these devices, individual professional standards may specify more specific or additional requirements. This standard applies GB/T 15459-1996 "Guidelines for Compiling Electrical Safety Standards". Note: Because this standard is only used as a guide for the formulation of professional standards, it is generally not sufficient to simply copy or quote this standard when formulating product safety standards.
