Introduction

Standard Evolution and Scope of Application

This standard replaces the 1990 version of the specification. The main changes include:

  • The scope of application is expanded to wind profiler radar (originally limited to high-altitude meteorological detection radar)
  • System architecture terminology is changed to subsystem (such as antenna system → antenna feeder subsystem)
  • New special technical indicators for wind profiler radar
