1 Scope

This standard defines the terms and definitions used in eddy current testing.

This standard is applicable to eddy current testing, nondestructive testing and other relevant areas.

Electromagnetic interaction between two or more circuits. In eddy current examination the product to be tested is a circuit

Ratio of the excitation flux through the product to be tested to the total excitation flux. It measures the electromagnetic coupling between the probe and the product to be tested

Magnetic field resulting from the vectorial addition of the primary and the secondary fields
