《GB/T 12654-2008书写纸》由TC141（全国造纸工业标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
本标准是对GB/T 12654-1990 《书写纸》的修订。
本标准代替GB/T 12654-1990 。
本标准规定了书写纸的产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于表格、练习簿、记录本、帐簿及其他书写用纸。
本标准与GB/T 12654-1990 相比，主要变化如下：
―――增加了规范性引用文件；
―――将原标准中产品A、B、C 三等改为优等品、一等品和合格品三个等级，取消了原标准中的D等；
―――部分技术指标进行了调整，将厚度改为紧度，取消了平滑度正反差，调整了亮度指标。
Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of writing paper. This standard applies to forms, exercise books, record books, account books and other writing paper.
