本标准代替GB/T 8938-1988 。
本标准规定了打字纸的产品分类﹑技术要求﹑试验方法﹑检验规则及标志、包装﹑运输﹑贮存。
本标准适用于配以复写纸进行多份打印用的打字纸和复写、信笺等用纸。
本标准与GB/T 8938-1988 相比，主要变化如下：
———增加了规范性引用文件；
———将原标准中产品分为Ａ、Ｂ、Ｃ 三等改为优等品、一等品和合格品三个等级；
———亮度和尘埃度指标进行了调整；
———裂断长调整为抗张指数；
———增加了色差指标。
Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of typing paper. This standard is applicable to typing paper, carbon copying paper, letterhead and other paper used for multiple printing with carbon paper.
