《GB/T 12721-2007橡胶软管 外覆层耐磨耗性能的测定》由TC35（全国橡胶与橡胶制品标准化技术委员会）归口，TC35SC1（全国橡胶与橡胶制品标准化技术委员会软管分会）执行，主管部门为中国石油和化学工业联合会。
本标准规定了橡胶软管外覆层耐磨耗性能的测定方法。本标准主要用于带有织物或钢丝增强层，并具有表面光滑和平整程度的外覆层的液压软管及其他相似类型的软管。本标准不予用于预定产品的耐磨耗寿命，但适用于比较产品的质量水平。本标准未规定每一试验应完成的循环次数，此循环次数在相应的产品标准中规定。

Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the wear resistance of the outer coating of rubber hoses. This standard applies primarily to hydraulic hoses and other similar types of hoses with fabric or steel wire reinforcement and outer coverings with smooth and flat surfaces. . This standard is not intended to be used to predict the wear life of products, but to compare the quality levels of products. This standard does not specify the number of cycles to be completed for each test, this number of cycles is specified in the corresponding product standard.
