Scope

This standard stipulates the principle of subject classification, basis of subject classification, coding method, and subject classification system and code. This standard applies to subject-based information classification, sharing and exchange, and also applies to national macro-management and departmental applications. The disciplines of the classification objects of this standard are different from professions and industries. The classification of this standard cannot replace literature, information, book classification and various academic viewpoints.
