《GB/T 14048.1-2000低压开关设备和控制设备总则》由TC189（全国低压电器标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电器工业协会。
本标准适用于（当有关产品标准有要求时）开关设备和控制设备，该电器用于连接额定电压交流不超过1000V或直流不超过15000V的电路。本标准不适用于GB 7251规定的低压成套开关设备和控制设备。本标准的目的是规定开关设备和控制设备共有的基本规则和要求，它包括：定义；特性；电器的有关资料；正常使用、安装和运输条件；结构和性能要求；特性和性能验证。

Scope

This standard applies (when required by the relevant product standard) to switchgear and controlgear (hereinafter referred to as "apparatus") intended for connection to circuits with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c. This standard does not apply to low-voltage complete switchgear and control equipment specified in GB 7251.
