《GB/T 1408.1-2006绝缘材料电气强度试验方法第1部分：工频下试验》由TC301（全国电气绝缘材料与绝缘系统评定标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国电器工业协会。
本标准等同采用IEC 60243-1：1998，是对GB/T1408.1-1999的修订。
本标准规定了测量固体绝缘材料工频短时电气强度的试验方法，规定了用液体和气体作为固体绝缘材料试验时的浸渍剂或周围媒质，但不适用于液体和气体的试验。

Scope

This part of GB/T 1408 specifies the test method for measuring the short-term electric strength of solid insulating materials at power frequency (ie 48Hz~62Hz). This section specifies the use of liquids and gases as impregnating agents or surrounding media for testing solid insulating materials, but does not apply to liquid and gas tests.
