Scope
This standard specifies the dimensions and mechanical properties of roller chains and bush chains with pitches from 6.35 mm to 19.05 mm for motorcycle chains. These chains are suitable for closed transmissions, such as camshafts, balancers, and high-speed drives; and open transmissions, such as rear wheel drives. This standard covers dimensions, tolerances, length measurements, pretension, minimum tensile strength, and fatigue testing.
