GB/T 1438《锥柄麻花钻》分为四个部分，本部分为GB/T 1438的第2部分。
本部分代替GB/T 1438.2-1996《锥柄麻花钻 第2部分：莫氏锥柄长麻花钻的型式和尺寸》。
GB/T 1438的本部分规定了莫氏锥柄长麻花钻的型式和尺寸。
本部分适用于直径5.00mm~50.00mm的莫氏锥柄长麻花钻。
本部分与GB/T 1438.2-1996相比有下列编辑性修改：
――增加了前言；
――“本标准”改为“本部分”；
――图1中，增加了横刃线；
――将4.2“制造中间规格的麻花钻”改为“制造中间直径的锥柄麻花钻”；
――将4.4“高性能的”改为“精密级”。
Scope
This Part specifies the types and dimensions of Morse taper shank twist drills. This part applies to long twist drills with Morse taper shank with a diameter of 5.00mm~50.00mm.
