《GB/T 144-2024原木检验》由TC41(全国木材标准化技术委员会)归口,TC41SC2(全国木材标准化技术委员会原木和锯材分会)执行,主管部门为国家林业和草原局。
Introduction
In-depth interpretation of GB/T 144—2024 "Log Inspection" standard
I. Background and significance of standard revision
GB/T144-2024 is the latest version of the national standard "Log Inspection", replacing the original GB/T144—2013. This revision fully considers the needs of forestry technology development and market supervision, and optimizes the original standard content in multiple dimensions.
II. Comparison of Standard Frameworks
| Chapter Number | 2013 Edition Contents | 2024 Edition Additions/Revisals |
|---|---|---|
| 4.2.2 | No mention of lower shank section treatment | Added lower shank section inspection requirements, and explicitly discarded the lower shank section length |
| 5.3 | No radial crack inspection included | Added radial crack defect inspection requirements (see 5.3.1) |
| 5.5.2 | No multi-directional bending provisions | New inspection requirements for multi-directional bending defects, and clarification of the evaluation criteria for the ratio of maximum arch height to horizontal length |
III. Interpretation of key technologies
1. Optimization of dimensional inspection
The new standard has made important improvements in dimensional inspection, especially in the lower haw section processing (4.2.2) and dimensional inspection of special materials (4.4). The newly added requirements for the diameter measurement of double-core and triple-core wood clarifies that normal parts should be selected for measurement to avoid measurement errors caused by defects in the wood body.
2. Strengthened defect inspection
The new standard introduces new defect categories such as diameter crack (5.3), multi-directional bending (5.5.2) and mechanical damage (5.16). For example, the newly added inspection requirements for damage caused by parasitic plants and bird's eye fill the gaps in the original standard in terms of tree ecological health.
IV. Implementation Suggestions
- Optimize inspection tools:It is recommended to use high-precision calipers and steel tape measures to ensure that the measurement error is within the allowable range of the standard.
- Strengthen personnel training:Organize special training for newly added defect categories such as radial cracks and multi-directional bending to improve inspection capabilities.
- Establish an information management system:It is recommended to develop a digital inspection system to quickly identify and record log defects.
