《GB/T 14464-2008涤纶短纤维》由608（中国纺织工业联合会）归口，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准代替GB/T 14464-1993《涤纶短纤维》。
本标准规定了涤纶短纤维的产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则和标志、包装、运输、贮存的要求。
本标准适用于线密度为0.8 dtex～6.0dtex的半消光、有光、圆形截面涤纶短纤维（不含有色纤维和中空纤维），其它类型的涤纶短纤维可参照使用。
本标准与GB/T 14464-1993相比主要变化如下：
――适用范围中产品的线密度由1.5dtex~6.0dtex拓展到0.8dtex~6.0dtex,同时增加了有光绦纶短纤维产品；
――规范性引用文件中增加了GB/T 1250《极限数值的表示方法和判定方法》和GB/T 14189《纤维级聚酯切片（PET）》；
――术语和定义部分增加了生产批、检验批等术语；
――要求部分：
● 产品等级分为优等品、一等品、合格品三个等级；
● 增加了对质量差异的要求。
――检验规则中增加了按照GB/T 1250《极限数值的表示方法和判定方法》中修约值比较法进行等级判定的内容。

Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of polyester staple fiber. This standard is applicable to semi-dull, glossy, round-section polyester staple fibers (excluding colored fibers and hollow fibers) with a linear density of 0.8 dtex to 6.0 dtex. Other types of polyester staple fibers can be used as a reference.
