Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and transportation of cold-rolled work rolls, intermediate rolls, backup rolls, and straightening rolls for metal plate and strip mills. This standard applies to cold-rolled work rolls, intermediate rolls, back-up rolls and straightening roll forgings for metal sheet and strip, and also applies to other roll blanks with the same technical requirements.
