Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of metal lanthanum. This standard applies to metal lanthanum produced by molten salt electrolysis, which is mainly used as an important additive or alloy element for special steel, non-ferrous metal alloys, and hydrogen storage materials, and can also be used as a reducing agent for other rare earth metals.
