《GB/T 15935-2013信息技术 存折本的磁条》由TC28（全国信息技术标准化技术委员会）归口，TC28SC17（全国信息技术标准化技术委员会卡及身份识别安全设备分会）执行，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了如第4章中定义的在交换中使用的存折本上磁条的特性和位置。通过本标准的要求提供与交换系统的兼容性,从而使带有磁条的存折本可读,并且可被与在交换中使用的读出识别卡相兼容的设备编码。
本标准规定了对存折本上磁条(包括任何保护涂层)的要求、编码技术和字符集。它还规定了存折本封面的特性,如硬度、最小尺寸、表面不规则度、粗糙度以及封面材料和磁条间的相互作用。根据人、
机两者因素规定了最低要求。
矫顽力影响到本标准中许多量值的规定但不是其自身的规定。把存折本暴露于磁场之中很可能使已记录的数据被破坏。
本标准定义了存折本应遵循的准则。在本标准中没有考虑使用次数的因素,若需要,则可以根据之前存折本测试的经验。如产品不符合本标准规定的准则,则应在涉及到的各方中进行协商。
ISO/IEC10373-2规定了检测存折本符合本标准规定参数的测试步骤。
本标准适用于存折本用磁条的生产和验收。
注:在本标准中用到的国际单位制和/或英制测量体系中的数值可能已经被换算,因而相互间并不完全相等。两种
制式都可能被使用,但两者不宜被混杂或再被转换。最初的设计是使用英制测量体系。

Scope

This standard specifies the characteristics and location of the magnetic stripe on passbooks used in exchange as defined in Clause 4. Compatibility with switching systems is provided through the requirements of this standard so that passbooks with magnetic stripes are readable and can be encoded by devices compatible with the reading identification cards used in switching. This standard specifies the requirements, encoding techniques and character sets for magnetic stripes (including any protective coating) on passbooks. It also specifies the characteristics of passbook covers, such as hardness, minimum size, surface irregularities, roughness, and the interaction between the cover material and the magnetic strip. The minimum requirements are specified based on both human and machine factors. Coercivity affects the specification of many quantities in this standard but is not a specification in itself. Exposing passbooks to magnetic fields is likely to destroy recorded data. This standard defines the guidelines that passbooks should follow. In this standard, the factor of the number of times of use is not considered. If necessary, it can be based on the experience of the previous passbook test. If the product does not comply with the criteria specified in this standard, it shall be negotiated among the parties involved. ISO/IEC 10373-2 specifies the test procedures for checking that passbooks comply with the parameters specified in this standard. This standard applies to the production and acceptance of magnetic stripes used in passbooks.
