Scope

This standard specifies the determination of lead in workshop air by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard applies to metal smelting, lead melting, casting of plates and characters in the printing industry, manufacturing of storage batteries, lead glass, enamel, and pigments, as well as the production of lead fume and lead dust in the shipbuilding industry such as welding and melting.
