Scope
This part of GB/T 1632 specifies the methods for the determination of the reduced viscosity (also known as viscosity number) and intrinsic viscosity of polyethylene and polypropylene dilute solutions at 135°C. This section applies to polyethylene and polypropylene materials. The additives present in the sample may affect the measurement results of the viscosity of the dilute polymer solution. If the sample contains fillers or other additives, the viscosity results determined by this method are not reliable.
