《GB/T 16401-1996矿物棉制品吸水性试验方法》由TC191（全国绝热材料标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国建筑材料联合会。
本标准规定了板状、毡状及管状矿物棉制品吸水性试验方法的仪器及材料、试样、试验步骤、结果计算和试验报告。本标准适用于岩棉、矿渣棉、玻璃棉及硅酸铝棉等绝热板状制品的吸水性测定。

Scope

This standard specifies the instruments and materials, samples, test procedures, result calculations and test reports for the water absorption test methods of plate, felt and tubular mineral wool products. This standard applies to the determination of water absorption of rock wool, slag wool, glass wool and aluminum silicate wool and other thermal insulation plate products. Mineral wool shell products are subjected to a capillary penetration test.
