《GB/T 16431-2008中国盲文音乐符号》由TC148（全国残疾人康复和专用设备标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为民政部。
本标准中的常用音乐符号、声乐符号和西洋器乐符号是依据国际统一的盲文音乐符号而制定的。 本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１６４３１―１９９６。 本标准规定了盲文常用音乐符号、声乐符号、器乐符号和常用的几种记谱法等。
本标准适用于盲文音乐涉及的教育、出版等各个领域。 本标准与原ＧＢ／Ｔ１６４３１―１９９６相比有以下变化：
―――修订了术语和定义中的相关内容；
―――规范了部分概念的表述；
―――修订、补充了音乐符号；
―――调整了部分版式，以利于相关内容的对比和阅读。
Scope
This standard specifies the music symbols, vocal symbols, instrumental symbols and several commonly used notation methods in Braille. This standard is applicable to various fields such as education and publishing involving braille music.
