Core Equipment Terminology Essentials
1. Heating Equipment
Metal Thermal Strength (2.1.5): A key indicator for quantifying the energy efficiency of radiators, in W/(kg·K). The higher the value, the higher the heat dissipation efficiency of the unit metal material. The value of the new copper-aluminum composite radiator can reach 1.2-1.5, which is 40% higher than that of the traditional cast iron radiator.
2. Ventilation equipment
Venturi valve (3.3.15): A precision air volume control device based on the principle of fluid mechanics, with a control accuracy of ±5%, widely used in laboratory variable air volume systems. Compared with ordinary air valves, it saves 15%-30% energy.
3. Air purification
ULPA filter (5.2.9): The filtration efficiency of 0.3μm particles is ≥99.999%, mainly used in chip manufacturing, biosafety laboratories and other scenarios. It needs to be used with the fan filter unit (5.4.8).
Implementation recommendations
- Design phase: Strictly distinguish between the selection and calculation of radiant heating devices (2.2.2) and conventional convection heating equipment
- Purchase and acceptance: Verify the air filter efficiency mark against Chapter 5 of the standard to avoid confusing weight efficiency with counting efficiency
- Operation and maintenance management: Regularly check the accuracy of the paired temperature sensors of the heat meter (2.5.1). Calibration is required if the error exceeds 0.1℃
Typical application cases
The operating room of a tertiary hospital adopts the biological clean room (5.3.5) design and uses in combination:
- High and medium efficiency filters (5.2.6) as pre-filters
- High-efficiency air outlets (5.4.3) achieve vertical unidirectional flow
- Air volume control uses pressure-independent VAV terminals (4.6.3.7)
The measured cleanliness reaches ISO Class 5 standard, and annual energy consumption is reduced by 22%.
