Scope
This standard: a) gives an overview of the concepts and mechanisms defined in GB/T 17178; b) defines a transaction processing model; c) defines the requirements that OSI TP services need to meet; Service elements such as RDA (Remote Database Access), ROSE (Remote Operations Service Element) and non-ROSE applications need to coexist. This standard allows the specification of transactional mode communication services and protocols that satisfy the atomicity, consistency, independence and durability (ACID properties) defined in ISO/IEC 9804. This standard does not describe a single specific implementation and product, nor does it limit the implementation of entities or interfaces within computer systems.
