Introduction
Core changes in the standard revision
| Revision dimensions | GB/T 17263-2013 | GB/T 17263-2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Scope of application | Unspecified voltage range | Limited to 220V/50Hz |
| UV radiation requirements | No special regulations | Newly added ≤2mW/klm limit |
| Mercury content classification | Uniform standard | Divided into three levels: qualified/low mercury/trace mercury |
| Phase-out schedule | Not involved | New implementation nodes of the Mercury Convention |
Analysis of key technical requirements
1. Photoelectric performance indicators
Example: The minimum luminous efficacy of a 15W daylight color (RR) bare lamp is 57lm/W, while a lamp with a cover of the same specification must have a luminous efficacy of ≥48.45lm/W
2. Lifespan and reliability
| Product type | Median lifespan (h) | Luminous flux maintenance rate (2000h) |
|---|---|---|
| T2 spiral bare lamp | ≥8000 | ≥85% |
| Conventional bare lamp | ≥10000 | ≥85% |
| Lamp with cover | ≥6000 | ≥80% |
Implementation suggestions
- Self-ballasted fluorescent lamps manufacturers need to focus on:
- Products with a mercury content of >5mg and a ≤30W rating will be prohibited from production after 2025
- Additional configuration of UV radiation test equipment
- Testing agencies should note:
- Start-up time test requires the use of the integrating sphere method in Appendix A
- Requirements for the ratio of the luminous flux measurement sphere diameter to the lamp size
Background of standard evolution
This revision responds to the requirements of the Minamata Convention on Mercury and strengthens mercury pollution control. Technical aspects:
- Introduction of non-liquid mercury process (rise time relaxed to 120s)
- Refined mercury content classification (micro-mercury level requirement ≤1mg)
- Added special limits for UV radiation from reflector lamps
