Detailed explanation of key technical requirements

1. Material control

The bottle body material must be electric furnace/converter killed steel, and the chemical composition must meet the following requirements: C≤0.12%, Mn≤0.5%, P≤0.025%, S≤0.020%. Pay special attention to the newly added aluminum content requirement (Al≥0.020%) to improve welding performance.

2. Structural design

The steel cylinder adopts the upper and lower bottle body butt welding structure, and the design pressure is the larger value of the saturated vapor pressure of the medium at 60℃ and 2.3MPa. The head must meet the following requirements:

  • Elliptical head: hi≥0.2Di
  • Dish head: Ri≤Di and r≥0.15Di
Wall thickness calculation adopts double formula to take the larger value to ensure safety.


Type test requirements

Burst test: 3 samples are taken, the burst pressure ≥2PT and the rupture must occur in the longitudinal position of the cylinder. New artificial aging treatment requirements (100℃×1h or 120℃×15min, etc.).

Drop test: No leakage after three drop postures at a height of 1.2m, and verified by the burst test.

Implementation suggestions

1. Material verification: Chemical composition analysis is required for each furnace number, using the GB/T223 series method

2. Welding control: Welders must be assessed according to TSGZ6001 and Appendix C, and the angular height of the girth weld is E≤1mm

3. Digital management: It is recommended to establish a cylinder QR code traceability system to store manufacturing, inspection and other full life cycle data
