《GB/T 17732-2008致密定形含碳耐火制品试验方法》由TC193（全国耐火材料标准化技术委员会）归口，TC193SC3（全国耐火材料标准化技术委员会试验方法分会）执行，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１７７３２―１９９９《致密定形含炭耐火制品试验方法》和ＧＢ／Ｔ１３２４４―１９９１《含碳耐火材料抗氧化性试验方法》。本标准规定了致密定形含碳耐火制品的试验方法。 本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１７７３２―１９９９相比主要差异如下：
―――定义中增加“抗氧化性”词条；
―――残碳量的化学分析方法改用ＧＢ／Ｔ１６５５５；
―――将ＧＢ／Ｔ１３２４４―１９９１的抗氧化性试验内容纳入。
