《GB/T 18232-2000信息技术 计算机图形和图像处理 图形项的登记规程》由TC28（全国信息技术标准化技术委员会）归口，TC28SC24（全国信息技术标准化技术委员会计算机图形图像处理及环境数据表示分会）执行，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了在制定、维护和出版图形项标识符及其含义的登记表时要遵循的规程。这些标识符及其含义是在ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 24的指导下分配给图形项的。登记规程对图形项不分配其标识符的值，由这些图形项特定的图形标准定义为基于工作站或基于实现的。在图形项登记表中出现的字型登记表一般不涉及办公自动化领域中的通常意义的字型登记。本规程适用于图形项类别中各个单独的项的登记，这些图形项类别专供由ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 24制定的国际标准中登记用。

Scope

This International Standard specifies the procedures to be followed in the development, maintenance and publication of a registry of graphical item identifiers and their meanings. These identifiers and their meanings are assigned to graphical items under the guidance of ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 24. The registration procedure does not assign the value of its identifier to graphic items, as defined by the graphic standard specific to these graphic items as either workstation-based or implementation-based. The font registration table appearing in the graphics item registration table generally does not involve the font registration in the usual sense in the field of office automation. This regulation is applicable to the registration of each individual item in the graphic item category, and these graphic item categories are exclusively used for registration in the international standard formulated by ISO/IEC JTC1/SC 24.
