《GB/T 1836-1997集装箱代码、识别和标记》由TC6(全国集装箱标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了集装箱识别系统、尺寸和箱型代码及其相关标记和标记的标打方法等。本标准规定的识别标记包括:供目视判读所必备的识别标记和供自动设备识别(AEI)及电子数据交换(EDI)用的可择性识别标记。本标准适用于已列入ISO 668、ISO 1496/1至1496/5和ISO 8323等项标准的各种集装箱。也适用于未列入本标准第2章的其它集装箱和与集装箱有关的其它设备。


Scope

This standard specifies the container identification system, size and container type codes and related markings and marking methods of markings, etc. The identification marks specified in this standard include: identification marks necessary for visual interpretation and optional identification marks for automatic equipment identification (AEI) and electronic data interchange (EDI). This standard applies to various containers that have been listed in ISO 668, ISO 1496/1 to 1496/5 and ISO 8323. It is also applicable to other containers not listed in Chapter 2 of this standard and other equipment related to containers. Note: Containers that have been marked according to previous editions of ISO 6346 do not need to be marked separately. This International Standard does not cover temporary work markings, permanent markings and data placards of any kind not required by ISO intergovernmental agreements, national regulations or civil society organizations. Note: Some important international conventions related to container marking requirements are not included in this standard, such as: --International Convention on Safe Containers (CSC, UN/IMO1992);
