Reinforced fiber classification system
1. Glass fiber series
- E glass fiber: general electrical insulation type (SiO2-Al2O3-CaO system)
- R/S glass fiber: high strength and high modulus (Al2O3≥20%)
- D glass fiber: low dielectric constant (SiO2-B2O3 system)
2. Specialty fibers

- Drapability test: Evaluation of the bundling of untwisted roving (Standard 6.18)
Processing performance
- Chopability: The ease of cutting fiber bundles (Standard 6.40)
- Permeation rate: resin impregnation time (standard 6.56)
Implementation suggestions
- New basalt fiber products should be classified according to clause 4.1
- Three-dimensional fabric performance testing should be combined with the in-plane permeability index of 6.57
- Electronic-grade fibers must meet the dielectric performance requirements of clause 3.53
