《GB/T 18374-2008增强材料术语及定义》由TC245（全国玻璃纤维标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国建筑材料联合会。
本标准规定了玻璃纤维、碳纤维、树脂、添加剂、模塑料、预浸渍料等增强材料所涉及的术语及定义。本标准适用于相关标准的编写和出版，也适用于有关书籍和技术文件的编写和出版。本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１８３７４―２００１《增强材料术语及定义》。
本标准与ＧＢ／Ｔ１８３７４―２００１相比主要变化如下：
―――对章条的编排和格式进行了全面修改。
―――删除原标准第２章内容，将ＧＢ／Ｔ３９６１等作为资料性引用文件在本标准的参考文献中列出。
―――本标准保留了ＧＢ／Ｔ１８３７４―２００１中的条目１０４条，修改了８４条，新增了２０条。
Scope
This standard specifies the terms and their definitions involved in reinforcing materials such as glass fibers, carbon fibers, resins, additives, molding compounds and prepregs. This standard applies to the preparation and publication of related standards, and also applies to the preparation and publication of relevant books and technical documents.
