《GB/T 1838-1995镀锡钢板（带）镀锡量试验方法》由TC183（全国钢标准化技术委员会）归口，TC183SC6（全国钢标准化技术委员会钢板钢带分会）执行，主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
本标准规定了用容量法和库仑法测定镀锡钢板（带）镀锡量的原理、试样、试验溶液和材料、试验装置、试验条件和步骤、试验结果计算及试验报告。容量法作为测定镀锡钢板（带）镀锡量的仲裁法。本标准适用于测定电镀锡和热镀锡钢板（带）的镀锡量，重现性为±0.1g/m2，容量法的有效测量范围是2.5～50g/m2。

Scope

This standard specifies the principle, sample, test solution and material, test device, test conditions and procedures, test result calculation and test report for the determination of tin coating on tinned steel sheets (strips) by volumetric and coulometric methods. The volumetric method is used as an arbitration method for the determination of the amount of tin coating on tin-plated steel sheets (strips). This standard is applicable to the determination of the amount of tin plating on electro-tinned and hot-dip tinned steel sheets (strips), with a reproducibility of ±0.1g/m², and the effective measurement range of the volumetric method is 2.5～50g/m².
