《GB/T 1844.4-2008塑料 符号和缩略语 第4部分: 阻燃剂》由TC15（全国塑料标准化技术委员会）归口，TC15SC4（全国塑料标准化技术委员会通用方法和产品分会）执行，主管部门为中国石油和化学工业联合会。
GB/T 1844《塑料 符号和缩略语》分为四个部分，本部分为GB/T 1844第4部分。
本标准等同采用ISO 1043-4：1998《塑料――符号和缩略语――第4部分：阻燃剂》（英文版）。
GB/T 1844的本部分规定了添加塑料材料中的阻燃剂的统一符号。符号是由缩略语FR和后续的一个或多个编码构成，这些编码在第5章给出。将这些符号与表示塑料材料的符号一起使用，以对塑料材料进行命名并对塑料制品进行鉴别和标记。
Scope
This part of GB/T 1844 specifies the unified symbols for flame retardants added to plastic materials. Symbols are formed by the abbreviation "FR" followed by one or more codes given in Chapter 5. Use these symbols with the symbols for plastic materials to name plastic materials and to identify and label plastic products.
